Product Introduction

Stretching orientation is the core process for imparting high strength to PP strapping. The pressure extension unit and extension box of this production line provide a wide draw ratio adjustment range from 1.5 to 12 times.

By precisely controlling the speed ratio between the extension rollers and haul-off rollers, PP molecular chains are highly oriented along the stretching direction, increasing the longitudinal tensile strength of the product several times over its unoriented state.

Users can flexibly select the optimal draw ratio according to the final application (light bundling, heavy-duty packaging), achieving flexible production from standard to ultra-high strength strapping to meet diverse customer requirements.

Is a higher draw ratio always better? How to choose the optimal value?
Not necessarily. Higher draw ratio increases strength and stiffness but reduces elongation at break (making it more brittle). The choice requires balance: high draw ratios (8-12x) for heavy-duty packaging, moderate draw ratios (4-7x) for applications needing flexibility. We provide performance data at different draw ratios for reference.
Why does the extension box need a mold temperature controller?
The rollers inside the extension box need precise temperature control to keep the PP tape in the proper rubbery state during stretching. The mold temperature controller circulates hot oil or water to provide stable, uniform roller surface temperature, avoiding localized overheating or cooling that could cause uneven stretching or tape breakage.
What is the purpose of the 100mm insulation?
It significantly reduces heat loss, lowering energy consumption. It also keeps the internal temperature more stable, reducing frequent on/off cycling of the temperature control system and extending the life of heating elements.
