This extrusion production line features an advanced closed-loop temperature control system with 7 independently controlled zones on the barrel and die head. High-precision thermocouples monitor temperature in real-time, comparing readings with setpoints and automatically adjusting heater power or cooling fan operation to maintain temperature fluctuations within ±1°C in each zone. You can view the actual vs. set temperature curve for each zone in real-time on the touch screen, and its fluctuation range is strictly controlled. During equipment acceptance, a calibrated portable thermometer can be used for on-site comparison and verification.
Q: If a heater in one zone fails, will it affect the entire machine's production?
Although each zone is independently controlled, a heater failure in one zone will prevent that area from reaching the set temperature, affecting the material's plasticization in that region. This may ultimately lead to product issues like poor plasticization, gel particles, or uneven thickness. Therefore, it requires停机 for replacement. The random spare parts include backup heating bands for quick repair.
Q: Can this temperature control system adapt to switching between different grades of PP material?
Yes. The closed-loop PID control system has good adaptability and stability. When switching between PP materials with different Melt Flow Indexes, you need to call up or set a new temperature recipe on the touch screen (usually requiring fine-tuning of set temperatures in each zone).
